The new Xbox feature is great for Xbox Game Pass subscribers

The new Xbox feature across Xbox One, Xbox Series S, and Xbox Series X is great for Xbox Game Pass subscribers. With the growing popularity of Xbox Game Pass and Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, it’s important that Microsoft start improving some minor issues with the subscription service. For example, subscribers have been demanding more transparency about how long games will be available via the subscription service. Unfortunately, there is still no word to improve this. However, a similar but annoying minor issue is resolved.

Microsoft is set to make it easier to know which games in your library and dashboard can and cannot be played by introducing two new badges that provide players with information about what is required to play said game. In other words, there will be a badge if a particular disc or badge is required stating that it is no longer playable because it has been removed from Xbox Game Pass.

The news comes the way Aiden Marie, Xbox engineering lead. Taking to Twitter, Mary passed on word that the feature is currently in testing and available for Xbox Alpha & Alpha Skip Insiders.

“Xbox Alpha & Alpha Skip Ahead Insiders: Today we’re starting to test new badges that tell you if the game won’t launch due to no disc inserted or no license for other reasons (eg game left Game Pass, not signed in),” it reads Tweet from Mary.

So when is this feature rolling out to the broader Xbox audience? we do not know. Xbox hasn’t said anything about a broader release at this point. Usually, when something is in the testing phase like this, it takes a few months before a wider release. In other words, Xbox fans are expecting this feature later this year.
